The Calhoun County Republican Party (CCRP) is proud to be the official county organization of the State Republican Party of Texas and the National Republican Party of the United States of America.
We are tasked with executing the Republican Primary and recruiting Republican candidates to run for county offices and support the Statewide Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiative.
We are responsible for the Republican Primary every two years, and we assist the local election offices in the general and municipal elections. We help run the elections at the 11 polling precincts as judges, assistant judges and clerks, and we are part of the Central Counting Station with our County Chair being the designated Judge.
The CCRP membership consists of all Republican voters or persons signing the membership oath residing within the county. The CCRP is led by its County Chairman (elected countywide) and 11 Precinct Chairmen (elected within each precinct every 2 years during the Republican Primary). Together these individuals comprise its governing board, the Calhoun County Executive Committee (Calhoun CEC).
The Executive Committee conducts official business of the County Party, including passing resolutions on matters important to the membership, filling vacancies in precinct leadership, and overseeing Party finances.
The County Chair maintains contact with local, state, and federal elected officials on behalf of the Executive Committee.
